Small Group Classes at Crafty Baba in Ipswich
Learn to pattern cut, fit and improve your sewing skills with me in relaxed, small groups of maximum 6 students.
Classes are held in the second floor sewing studio at:
Crafty Baba, 32 St Peter's St, Ipswich IP1 1XB, U.K.
Please be aware that the studio is on the second floor with stairs only.
You need to be able to sew and have a sewing machine at home.

Beginner Pattern Cutting: Fit and pattern hack your sewing patterns
Learn to fit and pattern hack sewing patterns. Bring your chosen sewing pattern and learn how to pick the right size. Learn to fit and adapt for your own style by pattern hacking.
5 weeks on Tuesdays, 10-12pm. Starts 24th of February 2026.
Designing Sleeves Masterclass:
Learn to draft and sew set-in sleeve designs and grown on sleeves like dolman and raglan.
5 weeks on Thursdays, 10-12pm. Starts 26th of February 2026.
Made to measure Bodice and Sleeves:
Learn to draft and fit your own bodice blocks with darts from your measurements. Suitable for all cup sizes.
6 weeks on Tuesdays, 10-12pm. Starts 14th of April 2026.
Made to measure Trousers:
Learn to draft and fit your own trousers blocks from your measurements. Suitable for woven fabrics.
6 weeks on Thursdays, 10-12pm. Starts 16th of April 2026.

Join me for 6 weeks of Darts: Learn to pattern cut different dart styles from your blocks or darted sewing patterns and learn all about sewing your darts.

Meet your Instructor
Hello!
I’m Charlotta and I'm so excited to offer you classes in Ipswich for 2026. I'm a fashion designer and pattern cutter by trade and I also taught Fashion Design and Pattern Cutting at Suffolk New College from 2009 to 2018.
Most of all I'm really passionate about teaching people like you to make clothes that fit and bring you joy.
Whether you’re interested in finally getting sewing patterns to fit, pattern hacking or drafting your own patterns - I'm here to make these dreams a reality.
The last five years I've been mainly teaching online. It’s really exciting to have found a great sewing studio at Crafty Baba so I can now offer real in person classes again.
I look forward to offering a lot of different courses throughout 2026, starting with two for January.
